Below are just a few examples of our innovative and commitment to initiatives that make a tangible difference.

We have recently launched a solid waste recycling program called Harvest, which allows small to medium businesses to recycle packaging waste, co-mingled and general waste in an easy and cost effective one-stop shop solution. As part of this service, Transpacific aims to divert tens of thousands of tonnes of commercial and industrial sector packaging from landfill.

This new service is the most significant change in recycling since the widespread introduction of kerbside recycling in Australia.

Transpacific has commissioned Australia's first hydrogenation facility, which takes our customers waste oil and refines it into premium grade lubricant base stock. The final product can then be used as gear and transmission fluids, hydraulic oils and a host of other industrial lubricant products.

Working with commercial food industry, we are helping customers to divert waste from landfill by collecting their liquid wastes and creating high quality organic fertilisers to improve low fertility soils.

Through initiatives such as National Recycling Week, we work with municipal councils and the media to educate the community and improve recycling practices. Activities include hosting open days at some of our Material Recovery Facilities and placing advertisements in newspapers to reinforce and promote correct recycling practices.
