As a waste contractor and industry leader, Cleanaway appreciates the importance of bringing waste education to communities.
Cleanaway works hard to educate students about waste minimisation and recycling through school based education programs. A team of Cleanaway Educators work in partnership with local councils to run preschool, primary and secondary education programs across Australia.
Every year, Cleanaway’s Education Officers engage and educate thousands of students through our award winning school education programs.
Our aim is to teach students about the positive impact waste avoidance and recycling has on preserving our precious resources. Through our simple to use strategies, students can reduce their own personal carbon footprint and help to make a real difference.
A number of waste-related modules make up our education program, providing a holistic approach to waste education and climate change.
Students learn from an early age about their council-provided waste services to promote local sustainability and encourage the right behaviours long-term. With improved participation, communities can reap a number of social and environmental benefits.
At home, work, or school, everybody can play a pivotal role in helping to maximize the amount of recyclables, which are then processed into renewable products. Being involved in responsible recycling can really make a positive difference.
