Sludge surveys

As part of our total waste management solution, Transpacific offers detailed sludge surveys to provide sediment and sludge analysis for lagoons, ponds and waterways. Taking the time to perform a sludge survey can ensure the operating effectiveness and the long term sustainability of water systems.
Transpacific’s expert team take systematic field measurements and perform comprehensive analysis to show the sediment or sludge quality, including the percentage of clear water and sludges present in the waterway.
From these measurements and analysis, clients are provided with a survey report showing the condition of the system and outline the remedial actions required.
The sludge survey plan details sludge depths and sample locations, results from the solids analysis, an estimate of the volume of sludge present and the amount of sludge expressed in tonnes of dry solids. Contoured drawings of the lagoon floor can be provided as part of the survey report to show the condition of the lagoon, including any degradation taking place.
