Transpacific leveraged its huge fleet of centrifuges and strong industry expertise to desludge Country Energy’s Broken Hill wastewater treatment plant meeting the client’s tight deadline.
The project involved the removal and dewatering of biosolids from the plant’s tertiary lagoon.
Transpacific successfully completed the project within specification, removing and dewatering 16,000 cubic metres of sludge.
Ray Dalton, Business Unit Manager, said the equipment used was central to the project’s success.
“We run the largest fleet of centrifuges in Australia, allowing us to run multiple units on any one project, greatly improving project completion times and reducing client costs,” he said.
Transpacific is the only provider in Australia capable of providing a full range of desludging services including dewatering, sludge surveys, land applications and remediation. The company also manufactures scum harvesters used in water treatment plants.
